Chartboost is an advertising and monetization platform owned by Zynga/Take-Two Interactive.
Established a strong design culture and team, mentoring and leading a team of two designers and one technical writer.
During my 2.5 years at Chartboost, I had the opportunity to reshape how design was valued within the company. I was able to build a strong, collaborative design process that integrated well with existing workflows.
My leadership philosophy is centered on building trust in the design function, so it’s seen as an essential part of product development. I focused on being reliable, open and honest, speaking up with suggestions and concerns, and delivering high quality design solutions ahead of deadlines. I also make it a point to actively seek feedback and respect the perspectives of all stakeholders, knowing that everyone brings their own diverse and unique expertise to the table.
These efforts succeeded in significantly elevate the role of design within the organization. I received positive feedback for helping achieve key milestones and positioning design as a crucial driver of the company’s success.

Key initiatives
1. Introduced the company’s first design system, reducing development time by 25% and accelerating product launches. This system enabled the completion of a comprehensive redesign and implementation of core features—sign-up, log-in, app management, landing dashboard, account management, and the Monetization product. These projects, which had been stagnant for over a year, were successfully finalized within 4 months.
2. Implemented a systematic design thinking approach, emphasizing the importance of developing a solid conceptual model before diving into UI design. The image below showcases an early concept exploring a potential solution for our RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) architecture.
3. Documented solutions in a clear, visual format, making it easier for cross-functional teams to understand and collaborate on design decisions. Below is a diagram illustrating the setup flow for an app in our Mediation product.
4. Establishing thorough documentation practices to enhance transparency and cross-functional communication.
5. Initiated the tracking of usability metrics and KPIs through FullStory, leveraging both qualitative and quantitative data to continuously improve user experiences.
6. Enhanced collaboration with the customer support team by establishing feedback loops, including shared reports and monthly sync meetings. These efforts helped gather valuable qualitative insights that informed and shaped design decisions.
7. As part of the Zynga creative mentorship program, I successfully mentored two individuals outside my direct area of expertise—a lead game designer and a senior visual artist. Through this experience, I focused on helping them develop their soft skills, build confidence, and expand their professional growth, fostering their success beyond technical abilities.
